Who we are

Tentful is a lightweight event hosting tool operated by Francesco Bertocci LLC, based in New York. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Tentful and how we handle it.

What we collect

Hosts. When you create an account to host an event, we collect your email address and an encrypted password (or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us: email, name, and avatar). We also store the events ("rooms") you create and any event metadata you provide (title, description, date, time, RSVP settings).

Guests. Guests do not need an account. When you join a room or RSVP, we store the information you submit on the form (typically a name and any additional fields the host added). A random edit token is saved in your browser's local storage so you can edit your own response later. We do not collect emails or other contact details unless the host's form asks for them.

Technical data. Our hosting providers may process standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

• To operate the service — show rooms to invited guests and let hosts manage them.
• To authenticate hosts and protect accounts.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service running reliably.

We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not use your event content for marketing.

Who can see your data

Room content (participant lists, RSVPs) is visible to the room's host and to other guests of that room according to the visibility settings the host chose. Some fields can be marked "host-only" — those are never shown to other guests.

We use third-party infrastructure providers (database, authentication, and hosting) to run the service. They process data only on our behalf.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your RSVP at any time from the same browser you submitted it from. Hosts can delete their rooms, which removes the associated participants and RSVPs. To delete your host account or request a copy of your data, email hello@tentful.com.
